Members must be over 18 to be eligible to apply for a loan. All Loans are based on the member’s ability to repay and require an element of savings. Interest is charged on the reducing balance of the loan and there are no extra fees or early repayment penalties.
Ayrshire Credit Union offers affordable loans to its members. Interest is calculated daily on the reducing balance. There are no penalties for paying your loan back early.
The rate of interest is dependent upon the amount you borrow and the amount you have in attached savings.
Members are encouraged to start saving regularly before applying for a loan, however, applications are considered based upon ability to repay. For first loan applications we will require proof of income and copy bank statements to be submitted and a credit reference check will be conducted.
